Auction 7 - Paintings, Prints, and Drawings

Armstrong Fine Art LLC (AFA) will make every attempt to identify and describe each item or lot accurately. Items are sold as is. Condition issues will never be considered grounds for the return and refund of any item. Prior to the sale, purchasers are encouraged to contact AFA to receive additional images of the items and a condition report. Further questions are welcome and will be answered to the best of our ability, time permitting.
If, upon receiving the item, the authenticity or attribution proves erroneous, the purchaser should contact AFA immediately. AFA will consider, but is under no obligation, to issue a refund for a reasonable request for an item that has been erroneously attributed or proven to be a forgery. AFA must be notified within 10 calendar days of receipt of the item of such a request and the item must be returned to AFA within 20 days of receipt in its original condition. A written assessment, by a mutually agreeable authority in the field pertaining to the object, shall accompany such a return, stating clearly the item is a forgery or has been misattributed.
AFA reserves the right to withdraw any lot(s) from the sale without prior notice.
AFA takes bids primarily through internet bidding platforms. Bidders may also contact us to receive a proxy bidding form. AFA will scrupulously bid on proxy buyers' behalf. AFA does not accommodate in-person bidding. AFA only allows phone bidding on rare occasions at its own discretion. Contact AFA with such a request. AFA does not take any responsibility for any errors or failure to execute bids, or for any computer malfunctions on internet bids.
AFA reserves the right to reject bids at its own discretion.
Lots may be subject to a reserve. The reserve is a confidential minimum price agreed upon between AFA and the consignor. If the reserve is not met, the highest bidder shall have no right to purchase the item, unless an agreement with the consignor can be found after the sale.
The highest bidder recognized by the auctioneer shall be the item purchaser, without recourse for dispute by any third party.
Information, condition reports, and registration approval requests must be received by noon on the day before the auction day (US Central Time). Thereafter AFA will try to accommodate but without guarantee.
We are a small business, working hard, with integrity. We will treat you kindly. Consider returning the favor.

Shipping Terms

Armstrong Fine Art LLC offers in-house shipping exclusively (on nearly all items, with the exception of particularly large works of art). For purchasers who wish to pick up in Chicago, or clients known to us, exceptions may be made at our discretion.
Please look at the shipping fees listed for each item. THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR SHIPPING IN THE CONTENENTAL UNITED STATES.
For international destinations, add 40 and 100 US dollars to the amounts stated above, depending on size and destination.
KINDLY PLEASE DO NOT HAGGLE WITH US over packing and shipping prices. This charge hardly covers our cost of packing supplies, labor, insurance, and shipping. By shipping in-house, we control the packing quality, ship more quickly, and less expensively than third-party shippers.
Your purchase is insured in transit against damage. Please note that we are not responsible for packages stolen once delivered. If you wish to have us request a signature upon delivery, let us know by email as soon as you have paid your invoice.
We take pride in packing with the utmost care, making sure your purchase reaches you safely and quickly. We are usually able to ship within 4 to 6 business days of your payment, sometimes faster, but at times also slower. We work as fast and carefully as we can to provide you with the very best service. If you have any special instructions about shipping or delivery (such as a signature requirement), please contact us ([email protected]) as soon as you have paid your invoice, so we may serve you better.

Tax Information

Illinois residents will be charged 10.25% in combined taxes for Chicago, Cook County, and the State of Illinois.
Residents from other US States might be charged local sales taxes by Invaluable unless they have a resale certificate on file with them. Based on nexus requirements, Invaluable invoices will include location-based sales taxes. Armstrong Fine Art LLC does not control these charges and cannot remove it.
All VAT charges for international buyers are the responsibility of the buyer.
